A kids clothing pre-order at Saint Toba is a short order window where we take paid orders first, then make that run to match what was ordered. Your piece is not sitting in a warehouse waiting to ship the same day. For AW26 Capsule Two, the window is open from 1 to 8 September 2026, and estimated dispatch is 4 to 6 weeks after the window closes on 8 September, from Melbourne.

That is the short answer. The rest of this page walks through what happens between checkout and your door, what the product pages already promise, and what Australian Consumer Law expects when a brand takes payment before goods are made.

What a Saint Toba pre-order is (and is not)

On our Capsule Two product pages we say it plainly: this is a pre-order. We make the run based on what is ordered during the window, so your piece is made after you order it. Estimated dispatch is 4 to 6 weeks after 8 September. We email you when yours is on its way. Ships from Melbourne. Free Australian shipping over $150.

That model is different from ready-to-ship stock. Capsule One pieces that are still available are in stock and can leave Melbourne on the shorter processing timeline on our shipping page. A Capsule Two pre-order is a later dispatch by design, because production starts from the order book.

It is also different from a vague "coming soon" waitlist. You place a real order at the live price. Right now that is $75 AUD each for the navy plaid hoodie and the navy fleece sweatpants, or $150 for the set with free Australian shipping on the AW26 Capsule Two collection page.

The buyer timeline for Capsule Two

  1. Window open (1 to 8 September 2026). Choose size, check out, pay. Sizes currently offered on both pieces run from 12-18 months through 7-8 years. Use our size guide for the core height bands (2-3 through 5-6). If your child sits between sizes, go up for a relaxed hoodie and track pant fit.
  2. Window closes (8 September 2026). We lock the order book for this run. That is when the production count is set from real demand, not from a guess we printed weeks earlier.
  3. Make the run. Pieces are produced after the window, in a small batch. Design work sits in Bali; fulfilment for this drop ships from Melbourne once the run is ready. For more on what "designed in Bali, produced in small batches" means on our site, see what "designed in Bali, made in small batches" actually means.
  4. Dispatch (about 4 to 6 weeks after 8 September). We email when your order is on its way. Metro Australia delivery after dispatch is typically a few working days; rural can take longer, per the shipping page.

If you mix a pre-order with ready-to-ship items in one cart, our FAQ says the whole order waits until the pre-order piece is ready. If you buy two different pre-order lines, shipping waits until both are ready to send. A Capsule Two-only order is the simplest timeline to track.

Why small brands use a pre-order window

A short window lets a small label cut only what parents actually ordered. That reduces leftover sizes sitting in a stockroom, and it keeps a drop from being oversized for the real demand. Capsule Two is two pieces in bright navy: a pullover hoodie with our original navy plaid on the sleeves and hood, and matching fleece-lined sweatpants with a contrast side stripe. Both are labelled PREORDER on the site for a reason.

Australian fashion lawyers flag the same practical risk for any brand that takes pre-orders: product pages need a realistic picture of timing, and the wording should match how production actually works. That is why our Capsule Two pages put the window dates and the 4 to 6 week dispatch estimate on the listing itself, not only in a buried policy PDF. See Sprintlaw's note on pre-orders for Australian fashion brands for the general framing.

What Australian Consumer Law expects

Pre-orders are legal in Australia. The hard rule is honesty about supply. Under the Australian Consumer Law, businesses must not take payment when they do not intend to supply, intend to supply something different, or know (or should know) they cannot supply by the promised date or within a reasonable time. The ACCC page on not receiving products you paid for spells that out, and it also says businesses should give clear information on availability and likely timing, then update you if delays appear after purchase.

If a product later turns out faulty, unsafe, or not as described, consumer guarantees still apply. The ACCC repair, replace, refund guidance is the public summary of those remedies. A pre-order does not erase that. Change-of-mind returns are a different question and follow our published returns policy once the goods arrive.

How this sits next to Capsule One

Capsule Two is the live pre-order. Capsule One is the earlier AW26 drop that still has sizes in stock in Melbourne for pieces that have not sold out. If you need something sooner, shop AW26 Capsule One for ready stock. If you want the navy hoodie and sweatpants set, use the Capsule Two pre-order before 8 September.

FAQ

When does the Capsule Two pre-order close?

The Capsule Two pre-order window is open from 1 to 8 September 2026. After 8 September the order book for this run closes.

How long after ordering do Capsule Two pieces ship?

Estimated dispatch is 4 to 6 weeks after the pre-order window closes on 8 September 2026. Pieces ship from Melbourne, and we email when your order is on its way.

Is a Saint Toba pre-order the same as in-stock shipping?

No. Pre-order pieces are made after you order, based on what is ordered in the window. In-stock Capsule One pieces that remain available can ship on the shorter Melbourne processing timeline on our shipping page.

What if I mix a pre-order with ready-to-ship items?

If you order other items with your pre-order, the order is not dispatched until the pre-order item is ready. If you buy two different pre-order lines, shipping waits until both are ready.

Do Australian Consumer Law protections apply to pre-orders?

Yes. Businesses must not take payment without intending to supply, and they should give clear timing information. Faulty or not-as-described goods still attract consumer guarantee remedies under Australian Consumer Law.
