Can I use Afterpay on a kids clothing pre-order?

Yes, when Afterpay appears at checkout and approves the cart. Saint Toba shows Afterpay as available on the storefront (announcement bar plus the Afterpay storefront script). That includes carts with Capsule Two pieces that are still listed live as PREORDER.

Payment timing and dispatch timing are different clocks. Afterpay collects instalments on its schedule. Capsule Two still ships on the pre-order estimate printed on the product pages.

What Afterpay means at checkout

On the Australian Afterpay Pay in 4 product, Afterpay pays the retailer in full when you buy, you pay about 25% at purchase, and the remaining three payments are taken from your linked card about every two weeks over six weeks, interest-free when you pay on time. Afterpay documents that process on its How Pay in 4 works page. You need to be 18 or older, and Afterpay runs an approval check on each order.

From 10 June 2025, buy now pay later contracts in Australia sit under the National Consumer Credit Protection framework. Providers need the right credit licensing arrangements. How that sits next to a Capsule Two pre-order

So if you check out a Capsule Two cart with Afterpay and it is approved, your Pay in 4 schedule can finish weeks before the parcel leaves Melbourne. That is normal for a pre-order. Rough instalment math on live AUD prices

Afterpay splits the approved order total into four payments. Using the live AUD prices above as examples (order total before shipping):

• Hoodie alone at $75.00 is about $18.75 per payment
• Sweatpants alone at $69.00 is about $17.25 per payment
• Hoodie plus sweatpants at $144.00 is about $36.00 per payment

Shipping changes the total. Free Australian shipping is for orders over $150 (announcement bar and both Capsule Two product pages). A $144 set sits under that threshold unless the cart reaches $150 another way. Exact instalments appear at checkout after Afterpay shows your schedule.

What Afterpay does not change

Afterpay does not shorten Capsule Two production. It does not turn a pre-order into in-stock Melbourne dispatch. Our FAQ still applies: mixed carts wait for the pre-order piece, and two different pre-order lines wait until both are ready.

Australian Consumer Law also expects shipping and delivery claims to be accurate. The ACCC flags delivery timeframes as information that must not mislead, on its false or misleading claims page. That is why Capsule Two pages print the 4 to 6 week estimate instead of promising a next-day ship.
