Gingham Shorts in Red and White
Description
Red and white gingham, ribbed, with a frilled hem and an elastic waist. Sizes 2-3y through 5-6y.
They are cut roomy, which is deliberate: the shorts are meant to get through a summer and then some, not fit perfectly for six weeks.

Measurements
Centimetres, garment laid flat. Measure a pair your child already wears well and compare, rather than going by the age on the label — age labels are not consistent between brands and ours run oversized on purpose.

How to measure
Pant length — top of the waistband straight down to the hem, at the side.
Leg opening width — straight across the hem opening, edge to edge, not doubled.
Front pant width — straight across the front at the widest point below the waistband.
Care
Machine wash cold. No chlorine bleach. Tumble dry low.
Line drying keeps the fit longer, since heat is what moves cotton. We washed our own twenty times and lost about one to two centimetres, most of it in the first few washes. It is not a reason to size up.
